Emergency Lighting

When the supply to normal lighting to premises fails, emergency lighting may be required. We can carry out full design and installation of emergency lighting systems to (BS5266-1:2005) to suite our clients requirements and on completion will issue an NICEIC Emergency lighting installation certificate. We can also offer regular testing and inspecting of new or existing installations.

BS 5266 Part 1 & 7 EN1838 Code of practice is the principal document covering emergency lighting of premises other than domestic premises, cinemas and certain other special premises used for entertainment.

The code gives recommendations for the indication and illumination of escape routes in the event of failure of the normal supply and proposes minimum continuous periods of operation of the emergency lighting based on size type and usage of the premises.
